  FACEBOOK.. the no. 1 virtual social darling in da' world at the moment ;-)  and closer to home Malaysia's 1st Official Facebook party will kick off soon at Soho KL - and as per flyer below i can't stop imagining about the party theme : Interactive Facebook Applications.  

Should i say cool ! or say w.t.f ??!!

well.. at the mo' i'd say w.t.f ! okay lets lay out one or two of the few tangible/motivable/sensible reason why the Malaysia Facebook Party organiser (lets abbreviate it as "FBPO" la..) roll out such effort to drum up a free admission BLOCKBUSTER Street Party -  to live-advertise FBPO's newborn products, company etc??   what are the odds?  There're sponsors from Guiness, Heineken and Tiger Beer ^_^ but not sure whether these beer companies are fully sponsoring or just partially sponsoring the golden liquid to the thirsty and ready-to-stampede-kill-for-a-free-beer

crowd.

Free beer or not maybe some wouldnt mind so long get to party/jostle with sweaty crowd/drown in rave atmosphere etc..   BUT what is the deal with Facebook Interactive Applications as the party theme ?  or maybe the Facebook founder/organization actualy approached KL Soho to host Malaysia's 1st Offical Facebook Party ?  If that is the case then the theme is obviusly to further promote & sustain FACEBOOK !!

 I've searched for Facebook Applications in the 'Interactive' category and below pictorials are some example from the lists.   So will there be Interactive Application booth at the party ? .. or maybe the FBPO expect/hope the party attendees will dress up in tandem of the theme ? .. IF it is the latter .. imagine ..

Will talk about my absence from bloggin later on. For now i wana yadda about a disturbing (personaly speaking la..) email i received this morning titled Pregnant Barbie. The preggie stuff is ok but did Mattel took the step to go all out to be graphic on bloody birth on a toy?! I hope its just a prank by some weirdo. Otherwise what's the point of manufacturing such adult theme ? to educate young baby girls about getting pregnant & birth at such tender age? Don't get me wrong, yea its good to be equipped with such knowledge but it feels not right somewhere using barbie doll .. i think it would give those poor young baby girls a nightmare? Unless Mattel rate the this so called 'Barbie's Birthing' as *PG or only for girls (& boys?) aged 10 and above*

sigh.. i'm NOT VERY HAPPY with some part of the make-up especially with the colour of the foundation/powder used on my face .. the shade is kinda gloomy and TOO tan for my original skin colour !! Before make-up was done, i specifically told the make-up artist to use a shade lighter than my skin and she nodded .. and look how it freaking turned out !! She also did a not so good job on my lips .. it looks flat !!

The only good part of the make-up was my eyes ;) and that was because the chief make-up consultant came over to help my assigned make-up artist. Before she (my make-up assignee) applied my eye make-up, i told her i want an irisdescent look at the inner corner of my eyes and she gave me a quizzical look ! Hellooo !! She's a make-up artist for christ's sake ! how can she not know what is irisdescent ??? Luckily the chief make-up consultant came to me to decipher my request and did a pretty good work with my eyes !

some weeks ago i thought of stop blogging. But i shook the idea off, mustled some strength and continued to blog, at times i update my blog 1-2 times a week, sometimes i don't update for 2-4weeks. Recently, the thought of stop blogging has crept up my mind again. I love to blog, but I'm just so exhausted with having to do so many other things. I do make long posts on my blog at times but they'd sometimes take hours and by the time i finish (being the perfectionist that i'm) i'd be wee hours in the morning already and i'm left with just 2-4 hours of sleep before i hit the road to work feeling sleepy. As for my weekends, it's filled with errands, chores and some rest when day ends.

For so many times i wanted to blog about things which i have knowledge on/of what i know best to share with people out there but i kept postponing and delaying it for so many times ..... but i can't help it because of circumstances

.. and i've been contemplating to drape my legs in fishnet stocking for casual outings - to the mall, movies, etc.. but the trick is to make look fashionable, trendy, funky .. not hooker-like!! I wouldn't want to end up looking like a hooker ! A few reasons why you rarely see girls donning fishnet stockings :- the infamous one will be the concern of being associated with hookers!! Anyways, who was the first idiot who associated fishnet stocking with hookers? I know, i know .. some might say the fishnet pattern alone gives the skin a 'tarty' look ! but don't forget its about creativity and imagination. Fishnet stocking can be glammed up if paired with the right attire, accessories & ATTITUDE!!

the Unagi tasted so freaking BAD !! it was upleasantly fishy, the meat of the Unagi doesn't have a nice flaky-melt-in-the mouth texture >.< freaking slimy and soggy whilst the Unagi skin is gooeyly chewy !! eeww !!and look at the miserable amount of perserved radish and vege given (in the small white bowl), why the stingyness ?? the rice was also a dissappointment, it doesnt have the bouncy smooth firmness japanese rice should taste/feel like ! when my mom took a closer look, there're two types of rice grain used - one is the typical rounded japanese ricegrain and the other is narrow and longer ; this tells you what ?? they probably mixed it with cheaper/local rice grains!! i've never encountered this 'mixed rice grain' served in any japanese restaurant anywhere (including Sushi King) I'm so FREAKING PISSED. I swear i'll no longer dine in blardy rip off blood-sucking farking Nippon Tei !!!!!! Sushi King is MUCH MUCH better !!

To be honest, as much as i love food, i'm quite stingy careful on spending extra $$ on food ( i'm NOT a RICH BITCH maa... can't afford to splurge on so many things) but i do pamper myself occasionally with pricier foodies - thats why i'll be FUCKING PISSED IF my precious worthy dollar and cents spent at a fine restaurant hits me back with BAD TASTE !!

Was sceptical to try it.. didn't know Lavender is edible.. I've been using lavender oils to scent the air and for soaking my goodself in the bathtub! Suprisingly it tasted really good ! the lavender scent totally goes with the cheese! (personally speaking la)

and .. of course, the Lime Mint Tea is perfect to round it all up.. after munching any snackies !! it kinda 'cleanses' the mouth and 'breezes' the throat ;)

Para 1 : but service at Winter Warmers (WW) can sometimes get on your nerves! I've patronised WW three times so far. The few waiter/waitress that i encountered is okay at taking food and drinks orders straight from the menu, but when it comes to special orders like ' more whipped cream on my iced-coffee' or ' bring me another glass with the rim salted', the waiter/waitress tend to give me a blank quizzical look (oh btw, they may not be local - might be Burmese i think)

Para 2 : there's one occasion where i yelled at the waitress ! o_O She didn't have the courtesy to tell me that my order will take quite some time to be served - I arrived at WW at 6.25pm, placed my orders (and told the waitress i'd have to leave at 7.oopm to catch a movie) and the waitress nodded. At 6.40pm the snack that i ordered hasn't been served yet so i reminded the waitress to check on my order and she did not get back to me, about 7minutes later my snack stil hasn't been served so i called the waitress and yelled at her why its taking so long !! About 3minutes later the snack came and the waitress apologised and said delivery was slow because there were a lot of patrons. I know ... the poor waitress .. but i just lost my cool !! I just don't blardy tolerate absence of COURTESY !! In the first place, i've already told the waitress that i would have to leave at 7.00pm and she's could have told me that the orders would take some time to be served - then i would've decided whether to dine or not.

Much have been said about the sometimes poor customer service in Malaysia in many sectors. As in my case at Winter Warmers, i blame the management/owner. They should properly train their staffs to handle various situations. In situation para 1, i don't expect the waiters/waitresses to speak/understand complicated english ! but words like ' more whipped cream on my iced-coffee' or ' bring me another glass with the rim salted ', is not that HARD to comprehend !! I know .. the management/owner of WW probably hired these half-baked foreign waiters/waitresses (half-baked in terms of conversing/comprehending English !) because of cheaper wage but the management/owner of WW should gave their staff proper training in their line of food & beverage vocabulary plus service etiquette !!

Winter Warmers should beef up their service in case of vocabulary and etiquette service! They have nice cake/pastry munchies and drinks but TOO BAD the service is sometimes almost below mediocre.

woooohh.. it's wee hours in the morning o_O still nursing my sore, aching legs and feet aching after doin' the Rat Race 4.5 kilometer run i participated about 9 hours ago ;) so i'm gonna lets the pictures do most of talkin' ;)

3/4 through the race journey, i was running (.. err..walking actually) pass by KLCC and there was this two male caucasian tourist standing by the roadside shouting to me " run !! faster! run ! " and when i was passing by a bumper-to-bumper traffic along end of Sultan Ismail street, a bus driver laughed and snorted at me - just my bloody luck i had to walk pass the bus ;( That's not the end of it. Some onlooker along the way also said " hey miss..if you can't make it, i can give you a ride to the finishing line" it was one of the most embarrassing moment in my entire life ;(

Speaking of the my title for post 'Material Girl', too much have been said about girls going after/marry rich guys for their money. If that's so, SO WHAT?? so what if the guy have the means and intention to shower a girl he like/love with the things she wants? What matters is so long it doesn't involve stunts like breaking the law and hurting any other party's feelings. The term ' girl go after a rich guy for his money' is over-rated and is very complex.

Take the case of Anna Nicole Smith for example. She's been negatively critisized and branded 'gold digger' over the years for marrying elderly billionaire J.Howard Marshall II . Fuck these assholes for critisizing Anna just because she married a billionaire who's so much older than her. Anna did not put a freaking gun to J.Howard's head to get married!! J.Howard willingly married her! heck..you think a billionaire is dumb enough and a coward to be forced into a marriage? certainly NOT!! and for whatever reason J.Howard married Anna, its entirely up to him! if its a mistake, it is his to make and more significantly, it is HIS life to live.

Different people marry for different reasons but personally i think love and money come in unison - i'm not saying money should be top of the list; money may not be everything but without money you live on nothing !!

It is all about personal choices. If a girl marries a guy who is of mediocre income then she must be prepared mentally, emotionally & spiritually in embracing a middle-class life. If a girl marries a rich guy then embrace a luxurious life laa !! Many people tell me.. some rich men often stray o_O Hey, i have this to add.. some not-so-rich guy ALSO stray whaaaat !! so might as well marry a rich bloke! don't have true love at least got money to do whatever it takes to be happy. Marriage is a gamble, heck !! life alone is a gamble! some girls (and guys) have all the luck .. they have both true love and lotsa $$. My maternal Aunt Ange & her hubby Willy is a perfect example. They have been married for over 30years but yet they still gaze into each other's eyes like highschool sweethearts. Whenever my Aunt Ange is away from Willy for days, he would shed tears because he misses my aunt so much. aaaawwww...how sweet ! and a rare sight indeed !

Hello people ! so sorry i haven't been updating as often o_O Feels like i've dropped off the face of the Earth ! I've been busy & moody - also, because of the lousy weather, i haven't been feeling on top of the world! No, i'm NOT against guys (and girls) eyeing, drooling over skimpily clad ladies. Obviously, its only natural to be looked at if the lady is dresses sexily ;) heck..i myself would give a second look to a hotbod sexily clad woman ;) .. envying those perky boobs and arse i'll never have! =.=

What i can't stand is why some people like to perceive a sexily clad lady as a slut/easy to talk dirty with/easy to sleep with?? Its so unfair to judge solely by the way she dresses. What's important is the way she carries herself - the way and what she speaks of. Okies..i admit i like to dress sexy occasionally, my sexy standard is a hint of cleavage and 2/3 portion of my legs showing, NOT boob-nipple-spilling out/ass-sticking-out sexy.

Scenario 1 - I've a few encounters where some ladies (of my neighbourhood) give me rude dissapproving stares, i could only imagine what kinda bitchy remarks they have in their narrow minds - then it happened.. my neighbourhood friend Ah Ping reported back to me.

Ah Ping : eh..serena, you know arr...there are some ladies here asked me whether i know you

Me : ehh...izzit? i kinda expected that, judging by the way they stare at me. Then, what did you say?

Ah Ping : I told them i don't really know you.. cuz you know larr.. some ladies in our neighbourhood are very very nosy wan.. You know what they said about you?

Me : Don't know lehh... what did they say??

Ah Ping : they refer you as the girl who like to dress like 'that' .. like to wear fit fit, tight tight

Ah Ping : No lehh.. i quickly changed the topic so that they say & ask no more about you.

Scenario 2 - There are some men whom i cordially know (met through friends/businesss engagements) hurled sleazy lines at me out of thin air (desperation to find a hump-buddy?) and this is one of the examples of the cheesy line i've been slapped with !

I'm shell-shocked Dario* texted this message to me, where i just met him the day before together with my friend Vaughn* for dinner! WTF !!?? (Dario & Vaughn are childhood friends, and Vaughn had invited me to join him to have dinner with Dario)

Dario : It depends ..... i'm comfortable with you

Me : FYI Dario, i'm not used to having such conversation with a man i just meet >.<

In Scenario 2, i find Dario's words to me : "serena..you must be really wild behind closed doors" really disturbing, rude and offensive. Dario didn't think it would offend me when he texted me those words, bcuz he said he felt comfortable with me. Hello ! it is a very subjective response. One man's meat is another man's poison. Don't assume what the other person can accept or reject. It takes time to get to know a person !! It doesn't cost a single dime to be courteous and respectful.

Hello peeps, my latest post is 2/3 complete.. sorry haven't updated my blog for so long.. tried to write the finishing lines since monday but black day buggies decided to take a different turn for me

Monday evening - it was time to leave my office..whoopeeeee !! but when i ignite my car, the damn engine wouldn't start ! Farking damn !! i forgot to switch off the headlights since morning when i arrived at the office.....so, car battery if flat! tried asking around the office if anyone have a jump-start cable but just my bloody luck, no one has it o_O Have no choice my to call my ever helpful-good buddy-handyman friend AlienPee for help! He arrived about 30minutes later and started to revive my very dead car battery. The only help i could offer was swatting the farking mosquitoes that was hovering & sucking my blood all over me! (my parking lot is situated near some mosquito breeding ground)

By the time i got home...i was too tired to do anything but bathe, had a kitty dinner (too exhausted to eat a humonguos dinner which i normaly have) and went to bed .. knocked out immeadiately o_O

Tuesday Evening - driving happily from office to home, reached home sweet home around 6pm-ish. Took my bath, had a hearty dinner and reached straight for my laptop ..... and damn that fucking cable & machine !! there's NO internet connection.. sux BIGtime !!!

so here i am using my work time to write a fragment. gotta sign-off soon.. don't want my boss to smell something fishy..my desk postion is not very strategic! its 1 minute to 3pm now.. can't wait to get home and i have been PRAYING HARD since this morning that there'll be internet connection when i get home this evening!

okies .. here's my aspirin mask remedy for nice skin ;) A special note to Ms. XoXo, so sorry for delaying this post , & thanks for waiting*hugz* ;) I actually discovered this aspirin for skin remedy through a 'fellow'. To uphold my blog integrity, i've tested this aspirin mask myself for at least 6-7 times already.

Now, the ingredients you need for the mask are :- 1) Aspirin 2) Honey 3) Water

Please USE non-coated aspirin, NOT those coated aspirin or it won't work! its fucking difficult to dissolve and doesn't leave the good after-effect on the skin! ;( The other day i bought the below Panadol aspirin & fucking damn !! it was coated aspirin! i thought it was non-coated cuz the box did not state that the aspirin is coated ! I've have a feeling all genre of Panadol aspirin are coated, so don't get this brand but ..

THIS !! yes, get BAYER aspirin !
Its easily available at Guardian pharmacy

Now.. lets get the plot rollin' ..

use 3 tablets of aspirin

put a few drops of water to dissolve the aspirin. PLEASE listen! ONLY a few drops should be used to soften the aspirin, if too much water is used the aspirin will bleed away into nothing and will be pretty much ineffective ! Okey..okey..some may ask how many drops is enough o_O Its about 2 drops of water for each tablet of aspirin. After coming in contact with that few drops of water, the texture of the aspirin should be grainy, crumbly. Mash up the aspirin with your fingers so that you can feel its texture.

next, drizzle some honey unto the mashed-up aspirin & stir around (about half a teaspoon of honey) again, don't be greedy ! if you use too much honey, the mask will be dripping off your face!

when aspirin comes in contact with honey, it dissolves the aspirin very quickly !

rub the aspirin-honey mask unto clean face! i usually gentle-scrub my face prior to maximise the effect. note : if aspirin crumbs keeps falling off your face, fret not ;) this means there's not enough honey to hold the mask together. Just rub some honey into your face to hold the mask. The mask should look grainy on the skin

Leave the mask on for 15minutes .. geezzz .. it seemed like eternity! i'm born impatient ! but then again, for the sake of beauty .. can't bitch much about the wait .. nyek..nyek
;)

after 15minutes, do not wash off the mask immediately! use your finger to rub your face in circular motion as the grainy texture of the aspirin mask acts as exfoliant !

Truth be told, i'm lucky cuz i've never had bad pimply skin all my life but then again but i still have to work hard to maintain it! because i do get the occasional small zit popping up once in awhile and it left one or two tiny scars on my skin bcuz i scratched it! small amount of pigmentation has surfaced on my face lately .. age catching up, so i guess its hormonal ? ;( Hope with more regime of this asprin-honey mask, it'll also help to minimise my pigmentation and heal the tiny scars from the zits i scratched !

so remember ya .. get non-coated aspirin ! get BAYER aspirin ! also, if you're sceptical of how your skin would react to aspirin, apply the aspirin-honey mask only unto your jawline & wash off after 15minutes. If there's no allergic reaction by the next day, then it should be fine. Be adventurous ! experiment! experiment !

could it be its just because my mind's runnin' dry at the mo' or my heart's running outta passion to write .. for some reason that i can't decipher.. ?

no particular issue is bothering me its just that .. all along i feel like i'm a puppet and all the strings tied to me is held by god

words like cold, no hope, sadness, suicide is swirling in my mind right now

cranky hormones?? i don't know.. don't know what to think or feel anymore
