I lost my COOL at Winter Warmers o_O

There you go .. more expired pics of me chowing down and drinking up!

.. at Winter Warmers at The Curve

;)

The picture above was taken weeks ago where i had quite a bad breakout of my face ! See the few stinkin' nasty dots of my cheeks ? sigh... Anyways, i was digging for some stuff in my handbag and my friend just clicked the camera (looks more like i'm upset or something o_O) He says i look better on candid moments o_O

.

.
One of my fav drinks at Winter Warmers .. Lime Mint Tea

its SO refreshing !!

:)

.

.

flow the lime mint tea into the glass and ..

it looks and taste more like a virginy Magarita to me.. ;)

the rim of salt around the glass really compliments the tea

;)

.

.

Menu ;) .. very homey lookin'

.

.

i simply love the design of the coffee cups !

its so pleasing to the eyes, don't you think?

.

.

can't remember what coffee it was but didn't really impress my fussy tastebuds

o_O

.

.

this is my fav snack! toasted mozarella cheese with tuna on cream-crackers ! really enjoyable and oh so appropriate as an evening snack !
;)

Lavender Cheese Cake

Was sceptical to try it.. didn't know Lavender is edible.. I've been using lavender oils to scent the air and for soaking my goodself in the bathtub! Suprisingly it tasted really good ! the lavender scent totally goes with the cheese! (personally speaking la)

.

.

and .. of course, the Lime Mint Tea is perfect to round it all up.. after munching any snackies !! it kinda 'cleanses' the mouth and 'breezes' the throat ;)

Para 1 : but service at Winter Warmers (WW) can sometimes get on your nerves! I've patronised WW three times so far. The few waiter/waitress that i encountered is okay at taking food and drinks orders straight from the menu, but when it comes to special orders like ' more whipped cream on my iced-coffee' or ' bring me another glass with the rim salted', the waiter/waitress tend to give me a blank quizzical look (oh btw, they may not be local - might be Burmese i think)
.
.
Para 2 : there's one occasion where i yelled at the waitress ! o_O She didn't have the courtesy to tell me that my order will take quite some time to be served - I arrived at WW at 6.25pm, placed my orders (and told the waitress i'd have to leave at 7.oopm to catch a movie) and the waitress nodded. At 6.40pm the snack that i ordered hasn't been served yet so i reminded the waitress to check on my order and she did not get back to me, about 7minutes later my snack stil hasn't been served so i called the waitress and yelled at her why its taking so long !! About 3minutes later the snack came and the waitress apologised and said delivery was slow because there were a lot of patrons. I know ... the poor waitress .. but i just lost my cool !! I just don't blardy tolerate absence of COURTESY !! In the first place, i've already told the waitress that i would have to leave at 7.00pm and she's could have told me that the orders would take some time to be served - then i would've decided whether to dine or not.

Much have been said about the sometimes poor customer service in Malaysia in many sectors. As in my case at Winter Warmers, i blame the management/owner. They should properly train their staffs to handle various situations. In situation para 1, i don't expect the waiters/waitresses to speak/understand complicated english ! but words like ' more whipped cream on my iced-coffee' or ' bring me another glass with the rim salted ', is not that HARD to comprehend !! I know .. the management/owner of WW probably hired these half-baked foreign waiters/waitresses (half-baked in terms of conversing/comprehending English !) because of cheaper wage but the management/owner of WW should gave their staff proper training in their line of food & beverage vocabulary plus service etiquette !!
.
.
Winter Warmers should beef up their service in case of vocabulary and etiquette service! They have nice cake/pastry munchies and drinks but TOO BAD the service is sometimes almost below mediocre.

Hello LG, I know exatly how u feel! Nic & I went thru the same thing in TGIF while waiting for a movie at the Cathay... err, how annoying!

At least u didnt have an irritating gay waiter try to chat you up by asking u, "Are you from Hawaii?" and giving you compliments like, "you look like Jason Ioane from Baywatch Hawaii" like I had today!

Aarrgghh!!!

:P

These outlets just care abt getting cheap labours but at least make sure these foreign workers speak smattering English or understand the language. It's a service-oriented industry maaa..sure must communicate, if can't speak English how to serve customers?

HAHAHAA so funny reading Russ's comment abt the pick-up line he received!
